The system cools sea water to a desired temperature, which is then circulated around the fish hold tanks to preserve the catch fish.
Components of an RSW Cooling System Chiller
Chiller Unit: The main component that cools the seawater. It typically consists of a compressor, evaporator, condenser, and an expansion valve.
Seawater Pumps: These pumps draw seawater from the ocean and circulate it through the system.
Heat Exchanger: This is where the seawater is cooled by the refrigerant.
Holding Tanks: Tanks where the chilled seawater is stored before being circulated through the fish hold.
