Air Cooled Water Chiller
Air-cooled water chillers adopt an air-cooled heat dissipation design. The built-in fan draws air into the device to dissipate heat from the condenser and lower the system temperature. No additional water cooling system is required, and installation and maintenance are relatively simple.
Air-cooled water chiller is suitable for situations where space is limited or where sufficient cooling water cannot be provided. Since cooling efficiency is affected by ambient temperature and humidity, they are typically used in applications with lower heat loads. Each model is equipped with a range of protective measures, including refrigerant high and low pressure protection, motor overload protection, and voltage phase loss and reversal alarms. These chiller units offer excellent performance and a long service life. They are particularly suitable for industries that require precise control and adjustment of chilled water temperatures, capable of accurately controlling temperatures within the range of 3°C to 50°C.
Working Principle
When the air-cooled water chiller is working, the refrigerant absorbs the heat from the cooled object in the evaporator and vaporizes. The compressor continuously draws the gas generated in the evaporator and compresses it into high-temperature and high-pressure vapor. The refrigerant vapor is then sent to the condenser to exchange heat with the air. After releasing heat, it condenses into liquid. The liquid refrigerant is decompressed after passing through the expansion valve. Then it enters the evaporator to absorb the heat of the cooled object and vaporizes again. This heat exchange process is repeated until the industrial water is cooled to the required temperature.
Application Scope in the Industry
Air Cooled Water Chiller are suitable for a wide range of industrial applications and can accurately control temperatures from 3°C to 50°C, meeting the needs of various industries such as plastics (injection molding, extrusion), plastic packaging, automotive manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, electroplating, chemicals, ultrasonic cooling, printing, etc.
For example, the role of chillers in the blow molding machine:
1. Mold cooling and temperature control: During the blow molding process, the mold needs to be kept at an appropriate low temperature to ensure rapid cooling and shaping of the plastic after molding. The chiller controls the temperature of the mold by providing cold water to help the mold cool down quickly and avoid product deformation, dimensional instability or surface defects caused by excessive mold temperature.
2. Improve product quality: In the blow molding process, precise temperature control is crucial to product quality. The chiller can effectively control the mold temperature to prevent quality problems such as material shrinkage, rough surface or uneven product thickness during the blow molding process, thereby improving the finish, strength and accuracy of the finished product.
3. Shorten the production cycle: By cooling the mold, the chiller can speed up the plastic solidification and shaping process, thus shortening each blow molding cycle. This makes production faster and more efficient, especially in large-scale production, where the role of the chiller is particularly significant.
4. Prevent equipment from overheating: Various parts of the blow molding machine will generate a lot of heat during long-term operation, especially key components such as the hydraulic system and the blow mold. The chiller can help the equipment maintain a suitable working temperature, avoid equipment damage or unstable operation caused by overheating, and extend the service life of the blow molding machine.
